My education and practice at Oakland University has helped fine tune my skills to dissect, analyze and write. With this, I had the opportunity to work two internships over the summer at an integrated marketing agency, Blue Wheel Media, and a music publicity company, Green Light Go.
Along with my writing skills, I was able to develop my photography and videography skills interning for the OU News Bureau, as a freelance reporter. At the same time, working for the campus newspaper, The Oakland Post, as their lead Videographer.
I have over 6 years of experience working with, researching, organizing events, planning and facilitating for the non-profit organization, GO Effect, where I developed my internal and external tenacity to build and develop a community that strengthens each individual to pursue their purpose and passion. I was also a mentor/facilitator for a girl’s youth group, where we created activities through examining trends, social effects and personal knowledge to prepare them for their future.
I had also interned, and am now the Vice-chair of the Women's Alliance of Oakland County (WAOC), in which we assist Oakland County in research and data analysis to create awareness and better prepare women in today’s world.
I would like to further my skills in news reporting, news production, and marketing work. I plan to develop my passions by creating integrated communities.
